Οι Παριζιάνοι ξεχύθηκαν στους δρόμους της «Πόλης του Φωτός» με σημαίες και καπνογόνα, ενώ ανέβηκαν μέχρι και σε ταράτσες.
Από τον Πύργο του Άιφελ μέχρι την Αψίδα του Θριάμβου, οι δρόμοι του Παρισίου πλημμύρισαν από κόσμο, κάτι που συνέβη βεβαίως και στις άλλες πόλεις της Γαλλίας.
