Αγώνα δρόμου για την κατασκευή μέσα σε μόλις δέκα μέρες ενός ολοκαίνουργιου νοσοκομείου στην Ουχάν της Κίνας δίνουν οι τοπικές Αρχές προκειμένου να νοσηλεύονται σ’ αυτό όσοι μολυνθούν από το νέο κοροναϊό, καθώς οι υγειονομικές υπηρεσίες της πόλης έχουν λυγίσει υπό το βάρος των εκατοντάδων κρουσμάτων.

Η Ουχάν των 11 εκατ. κατοίκων κι άλλες εννέα πόλεις στην ευρύτερη περιοχή έχουν τεθεί σε καραντίνα και οι γιατροί και το νοσηλευτικό προσωπικό λένε ότι οι ασθενείς σχηματίζουν τεράστιες ουρές επί ώρες στα νοσοκομεία για να υποβληθούν σε εξετάσεις για τον φονικό κοροναϊό ή για θεραπεία. Όπως λένε δεν επαρκούν οι ειδικές στολές προστασίας κι ότι σε ορισμένους γιατρούς δόθηκαν οδηγίες να μην πάνε στη δουλειά τους για να μην κολλήσουν τον ιού.

Το νέο νοσοκομείο κατασκευάζεται με προκάτ κτίσματα γύρω από ένα παραθεριστικό συγκρότημα το οποίο προοριζόταν για τους εργάτες της περιοχής και βρίσκεται στα περίχωρα της Ουχάν.

Σύμφωνα με το πρακτορείο Xinhua, το νοσοκομείο θα διαθέτει 1.000 κλίνες, θα εκτείνεται σε 25.000 τετραγωνικά μέτρα και θα ανοίξει τις πόρτες του στις 3 Φεβρουαρίου.
